🗺 One major announcement was the introduction of Immersive View for Google Maps, which provides users with a bird's eye view of their journey, including information on air quality, traffic, and weather. This feature aims to enhance the overall navigation experience.
🤖 Google also unveiled its latest PaLM 2 model, which offers improved capabilities across various tasks and sizes. Over 25 products and features powered by PaLM 2 were announced, including advancements in image editing and synthesis. These enhancements include the ability to add metadata to AI-generated images and the introduction of tools for content creators in Google's Bard platform.
🔍 The integration of generative AI into Google Search was another highlight. Users can now experience a new Search generative experience (SGE) that provides better answers, spark imagination, and make tasks more manageable. Additionally, Google emphasized its focus on evaluating online information and combating misinformation through tools like the Perspective API.
👩💻 In the developer keynote, Google showcased advancements in AI-powered code completion and assistance within the IDE and Cloud Console. The company also highlighted the AI-optimized infrastructure, which enables faster training workloads and improved performance for developers.
